Our growers nurture your plants until the timing is best to send them your way. Shipping begins each year in spring after the last frost date for your area has passed and ends in early fall when the plants start to go dormant.

Most regions are now shipping, starting with the oldest pre-orders. The southeast is currently shipping orders & pre-orders. The west will begin shipping in mid-to-late May. Check your shipping region for more information.

The map is based on the average annual minimum winter temperature, divided into 10-degree F zones and further divided into 5-degree F half-zones.

    2. Watering: Water regularly until established; then, drought-tolerant.
    3. Maintenance: Minimal care required. There's no need to deadhead the flowers, as allowing them to go to seed provides a valuable food source for birds. Leaving the stems standing in the fall offers overwintering sites for beneficial insects. If desired, cut back the stems in late spring after pollinators have emerged.
