Plants
Pink Azalea (Pinxterbloom Azalea) shrub is a native, deciduous shrub that features masses of showy, fragrant flowers in early spring before leaves emerge. Best-suited for soils rich in organic matter, it is ideal for a shrub border or woodland garden.
Grown non-GMO and free of harmful neonicotinoids just for your area, Pink Azalea for sun/part-shade will:
- Support other wildlife species including birds, butterflies, moths, and bees
- Never need chemicals and require less water once established.
Pink Azalea has a shallow, fibrous root system and will do best when planted in an area with evenly moist but well-drained conditions and mulched.
This collection includes keystone plants and supports:
- 33 native bee species
- 101 butterfly species
- 96% of backyard birds that rely on these insects to feed their young
- Dozens of other pollinators foraging for nectar
Our plants are grown regionally to thrive where you live and help local wildlife. Confirm availability for your area using the zip code checker near the add to cart button above.

Sizing: This shrub ships in a one gallon container with established root mass. In the fall, branches will be 24” to 32” tall with leaves. Arrived safe & sound
The azalea arrived well packed & had no damage. It's not a common plant so I was thrilled to see you carried it. Cant wait to see it when it blooms!

It is so good to hear that your new shrub arrived in good condition. Thank you for helping wildlife by planting natives!

Fleeting beauty
I believe this will be a wonderful plant, but it's off to a slightly shaky start. The plant was in great condition out of the box and was already in bloom. Unfortunately, the bloom was munched by local wildlife before I had time to put up fencing. It also has shallow roots, which has meant frequent watering since we're having a very dry spring. Can't wait to see it in bloom again next spring.

mixed success
I ordered the pinxterbloom azalea along with the azalea shrub twin pack. The two pinxterblooms each died. One never had any leaves. The other arrived with one flower but promptly died. The taller one, sweet azalea is doing fine. The Carolina Rose that came in that order is also doing well. Several of the flowers I ordered last fall never came back this year. I'm hesitant to buy anything else.

Newly Planted
The azalea arrived healthy, and is thriving so far. A last season freeze nipped some tender ends even though it was covered. I think it may be more tender than I expected (zone 5a). Can’t wait for it to mature and bloom!
