Milk ****
My first order for the butterfly milkweed plant’s delivered on time, we’ll packaged . They come in a three pack. After planting them, within a month, 2 of the 3 died. But I was very pleased with the customer service of the company. They sent me a new set of plants, that I planted in mid October. I hope they survive a brutal Chicago winter. But overall. The customer service seems to be top notch , we’ll see how they turn out next spring!

Thank you so much for your support and for planting to help wildlife and the planet!

Was the timing right?
From the information first sent to us, I thought we would receive the Orange Butterfly Milkweed plants in the spring since we ordered after October 1. Therefore, I was surprised when they came. They looked healthy, and we planted them as suggested, but there have been several frosts since then, and we are just hoping they will survive.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience! Our shipping window for hardiness zones 7 and above is open until November 1st. It is still safe to plant as long as the ground is not frozen. You can find more info about fall planting here: https://gardenforwildlife.com/blogs/learning-center/is-fall-a-good-time-to-plant

Concern for one plant
I ordered 3 plants, which arrived quickly and I opened immediately and watered. Two plants looked great, one was half out of the soil and not looking good. I planted all three the next day. The struggling one is still alive but, I have little hope it will survive.

The gardening tips and instruction videos were very helpful. I had some success with a pollinator garden in year one, but some of the milkweeds are still building their root systems. I look forward to happier butterfly milkweed plants in year two.
