• Smooth Blue Aster (3)
• Side Oats Grama Grass (3)
• Little Bluestem Grass (3)

Grown non-GMO and free of harmful neonicotinoids for healthy pollinators and planet, these plants:

• Provide a firefly and pollinator habitat comprised of colorful, tall flowers and grasses that invite fireflies to flit about
• Support other key wildlife species, including birds, butterflies, moths, and bees
• Bloom across three seasons and return each year
• Never need chemicals and require less water once established
• Are deer resistant, once established

The Firefly Delight plant collection was curated for its ability to provide a welcoming environment to fireflies and add texture and color to your late summer garden.

Did you know? Fireflies are actually beetles. They get the names “firefly” and “lightning bug” because of the flashes of light they naturally produce. Fireflies love long grassses and grasslike stems. They crawl to the tops of these plants, as well as trees, to signal to prospective mates on warm, humid summer evenings. Fireflies are attracted to moist areas that also provide habitat for the insects and slugs they like to eat.

This collection of native plants has the potential to support up to:

- 38 pollen specialist bees including the long-horned bee, Melissodes trinodis
- 124 butterfly/moth species, including many Skipper butterflies
- 96% of the backyard birds that rely on larval insects to feed their young
- Dozens of other pollinator species foraging for nectar

All purchases support National Wildlife Federation’s non-profit mission to help declining wildlife and expand native plant availability nationwide.

Great start for firefly garden!

This is just the right amount for a small firefly landing pad! The false sunflower/oxeye bloomed already!

Review of Firefly delight

It was good. However, two of the three little bluestem grasses are not doing well. One is not going to survive and the other is looking frail.

Great idea, needs work

Plants were all severely pot bound except for the asters. I’ve been watering daily, they all look pretty good except for the oat grass. Also, summer is not a good time to order or plant even though it was a nice price.I would recommend product if I knew that in the future they wouldn’t be so pot bound.
