How to Plant Your Native Plants

My plants
They are all growing, even the one the deer ate down to the stems. It sprouted new leaves and has been undisturbed ever since. But no blooms yet…not even a bud. Are they perennials? Does it take a second season for them to bloom?

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! These plants are all perennials and will return year after year. Some of the plants in your collection are fall blooming, so you may still see some blooms this year. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us at orders@gardenforwildlife.comif you have any questions we can answer.

Convenient and Easy
I love that the website tells me which plants are best for my area. I'm not good at gardening, but this made it so simple. I was surprised to see the plants come in a box, and I was even more surprised to see what great shape they were in. Only two of the many containers I purchased had the dirt spilled from them, but the plants were still in great shape. All but two of the plants I purchased are thriving. (The two that aren't are likely due to the excessive heat and poor soil quality on my part.)

Mostly good
Loved the packaging, stickers. Plants arrived in good shape. Bunnies ate one variety down to the ground. All planted in the same area. Three of the remaining plants are thriving. A fourth is struggling and I’m not sure why as they get the same care and light.

Waiting for the plants to flower
We're impressed with the care with which the Garden for Wildlife plants were packaged and sent, and the information provided was very good. We put the plants in the ground about a month ago - and while they're doing well, they have not yet blossomed. So we can't report anything yet about how pollinators will respond.

Thank you for helping me establish my wildlife garden!
This is the second perennial pollinator order I received from Garden For Wildlife and I couldn’t be happier! As a true novice who wants to do all I can to support endangered monarchs & bees, I needed all the help and advice I could get to choose the best deer resistant pollinators for my region and to plant them most effectively. GFW fulfilled all my needs! My garden is lush and healthy and enjoys regular visits from monarchs, honey bees and plenty of other pollinators on a daily basis! I plan to expand my garden in the years to come and will enjoy the products and support from GWF while doing so!!
