Done well but haven’t bloomed
They are all doing well, although none have bloomed. I suppose that’s normal the first year, however I wish I’d known that so I know if they’re OK. The Monarda was the only plants which grew tall. I believe the pack I bought had Foxglove Beardtongue in it and not Columbine as pictured here. Neither the Cardinal nor Foxglove grew stalks however and are just leafy plants at the ground. So that was a big disappointment with this assortment. I hope they do better next year. I will investigate a little more to see if they need a more consistently wet area as I believe cardinal flower may.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! The establishment period for native perennials can take a bit of time, and during this stage while the plant is focused on root development, visible growth may be minimal. If you have any questions of concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at orders@gardenforwildlife.com - we would love to help!

Happy with my new garden
The plants arrived in good condition. 2/3 species bloomed this year, which I was pleased about because natives can take some time to get established. I have even seen hummingbirds visit once or twice (but they are fast and shy, so I’m sure they are using the plants more than I’ve witnessed). The plants have required very little care, and the cardinal flower in particular has been gorgeous and long blooming.

Long Island backyard plants
I love the plants. They all appear to be healthy except the columbine (my favorite) each of which withered after two days.
