This host plant for monarch butterfly caterpillars is abundant with creamy white flowers tinged with soft pink, that sit in clusters on stalks with short narrow leaves. Ideal for rain gardens and partly-shaded moist environments.

Grown non-GMO and free of harmful neonicotinoids, these native Snowy Milkweed plants for sun/part-shade:

  • Support other wildlife species including birds, butterflies, moths, and bees
  • Bloom longer in some southern states and return each year
  • Never need chemicals and require less water once established
  • Are deer resistant, once established

Seed pods will develop on stems in fall and remain into winter, but do not have tufted wisps found in other milkweed pods.

Available in sets of three or six plants.

Did you know? The monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) that relies on native milkweed to survive has declined in population by 90%. By planting milkweed, you are restoring critical habitat for monarchs and making a real difference toward saving these iconic creatures!

This set of Snowy Milkweed plants also supports up to:
-3 other butterfly species
- 96% of backyard birds that rely on these insects to feed their young
- Dozens of other pollinator species foraging for nectar

All purchases support National Wildlife Federation’s non-profit mission to help declining wildlife and expand native plant availability nationwide.

Beyond my expectations

After a slight bobble at delivery ( I could not find the box.) I contacted the company and they located the box for me. However several of the plants looked poorly. The company resent the order. Way beyond my expectations. I plan to order additional plants.

Tiny flowers already!

I put these in the garden the day after I received them. I was a bit concerned as they arrived a bit dried out & a little brown. Watered them heavily & FL weather jumped in this time of year. Sept. we are still in our rainy season. They have thrived & even have the tiniest of flowers already!!! I'm excited to see how they grow, but I don't see any issues. They were very well protected in the package they arrived in and plants were good size. This site is very helpful & I enjoy receiving their newletter.
