Disappointing species for shipping
I purchased a total of six species, 18 plants from Garden for Wildlife. While they were all smaller than I anticipated, they are healthy and robust. I repotted them all so they could get bigger before I plant them later in October. Unfortunately the Whorled Milkweed disappoints. It isn’t as pictured at all. The images show the plant in front of another plant with large, broad leaves. This milkweed has very thin, narrow leaves. The first set of three whorled milkweed I received the plants were barely more than sprouts and had many brown leaves. Garden for Wildlife kindly sent another set, but they don’t look much better. I think this dainty milkweed species is just not hearty enough for the long shipping process.

All new plants survived the drought conditions except one
I only had one plant out of all the ones purchased that didn’t hold up after being planted.
