Frogfruit is a low-growing, evergreen perennial with charming white to pinkish flowers that provide nectar to a variety of bees and butterflies. It forms dense mats and makes an excellent groundcover or lawn alternative. Adaptable to a range of soil moisture conditions—from dry to moist—it can also be grown in containers.

Grown non-GMO and free of harmful neonicotinoids for healthy pollinators and planet, these Frogfruit plants for sun/part shade:

• Help birds, butterflies, and other important pollinators and wildlife
• Return each year
• Never need chemicals and require less water once established

Available in sets of three, six, or 12 plants.

Frogfruit has the potential to support up to:

• 5 butterfly/moth species, including common buckeye, phaon crescent, and white peacock butterflies
• Dozens of other pollinator species foraging for nectar
• 96% of the backyard birds that rely on larval insects to feed their young

All purchases support National Wildlife Federation’s non-profit mission to help declining wildlife and expand native plant availability nationwide.

Our plants are grown regionally to thrive where you live and help local wildlife. Confirm availability for your area using the zip code checker near the add to cart button above.

Orders placed during an active shipping window will ship within 10 business days* of the order date.

*To ensure your plants arrive healthy, we may delay shipments to certain areas during times of extreme temperatures, natural disasters, or other conditions that will impact the plants during transit. Any delays will be clearly communicated.

See our Shipping Timeframes page for more detail.

When your order ships, you will receive an email from orders@gardenforwildlife.com with tracking information.

Your digital download containing garden design ideas and planting tips is sent by email immediately after purchase.

Also Includes: Planting instructions and plant care guidance from our pros.

Sizing: At the time of shipment, our plants have a developed root mass and emerging foliage around 4-8” high.

Spacing: The 3-plant set grows to fill a space up to about 2x3 feet; the 6-plant set will fill a space up to about 4x6 feet; the 12-plant set will fill a space up to about 8x10 feet.

Containers: Because of its small size, Frogfruit can be grown in containers by itself or with other plants. It will spread horizontally and may spill over the sides of containers or hanging baskets for a nice effect. If grown by itself, it can be planted in smaller containers, approximately 1-2 plants per 10-12” container or 3-4 plants per 24-36" container.
