Saw Palmetto is one of the most valuable plants for wildlife in Florida. Its fruit is eaten by birds and mammals and it is a host plant for the palmetto skipper and monk skipper butterflies. It is tolerant of salt spray and occasional flooding and can grow in a variety of conditions. With showy flowers and fan-shaped foliage that ranges in color from green to silver, it can be planted as a specimen or used in borders.

Grown non-GMO and free of harmful neonicotinoids for healthy pollinators and planet, Saw Palmetto for sun/part shade:
  • Helps birds, butterflies, and other important pollinators and wildlife
  • Never needs chemicals and requires less water once established

Saw Palmetto has the potential to support up to:

• 8 butterfly/moth species, including the palmetto skipper and monk skipper
• Dozens of other pollinator species foraging for nectar
• 96% of the backyard birds that rely on larval insects to feed their young

All purchases support National Wildlife Federation’s non-profit mission to help declining wildlife and expand native plant availability nationwide.

- Experience growing native, local ecotype plant species.

- The ability to grow and sort mass plugs/starter plants.

- The capacity to safely pack and ship plants to their new homes.
